second mountain. bow.

The second mountain to appear in my blog is my second mountain in Korea, Mount Ongnyobong. This mountain, visible via Google Earth (search Pusan, then zoom out to Koje, should be within the vicinity), is right accross our company.

One tradition observed by Koreans is offering food, alcohol, and money at the mountain's peak and then taking a humility bow in its front. After which you take back the money and consume the alcohol and food while resting. I remember leaving a Philippine peso coin winter last year when we went to Ongnyobong, less than a month after setting foot in this peninsula. Posted by Picasa
